Was this game ever finished and made but not released?

The game was cancelled. Dinosaur Planet has been terminated as a N64 game and redesigned for GameCube.

Yup it was cancelled for N64. I believe it's now called, Starfox Adventures: Dinosaur Planet.

Don't know why they made it a starfox game, since it doesn't seem to fit in with the starfox series all to well, but it was ok

It would be nice from Nintendo if they'd lauch betas or demos of new (or even old) games for collectors. I still dream with the day I'll play or watch a decent video of Zelda Beta.
