Adaptoids for sale...

If you're wanting to run your n64 games on a computer, chances are you'll get the best experience when using your n64 controllers to play your games. I don't mind using my PS2 controller, but I'd certainly like to own one of these:

ZTNet Store

Personally, the price is still kind of high for my liking ($36 shipped), but this may be your only chance to get one if you don't want to pay $100 dollars or so. I'm not meaning for this to be an advertisement of any sorts, and I've never shopped with the website before, so make sure if you pre-order one, you read everything though If you've been dreaming of owning an adaptoid, this may be your best bet!

These adaptoids are currently pre-order though and it appears that they need to receive enough orders to produce them.

$100 or so for what?? I paid like $12 or something for my N64 adapter on Lik-Sang (RIP ). I'm sure there are some asian stores that ship to the states that have these, anyone who pays $36 for a simple adapter is gotta be nuts, or desperate.

The fact that theses adaptors are very rare can explain the price. Anyway even if I still have my N64 pads, I prefer spend 36$ in a PC controller. More buttons and rumble pack already inside.

Well, I've seen these things go for over $100 dollars many of times on ebay. I've never used one myself, but from what I've heard, the adaptoid is the only flawless n64 to pc adapter to be released, supporting any n64 controller, mem packs, rumble, etc. I read a lot of reviews about the adapters they had on lik-sang, and many I read came from people who said they'd order a batch of 10 or so, and only three or four would work correctly... so that's why I never bought one of those. The adaptoids were originally $30 dollars when sold before, not including shipping, so the price is actually very fair. Its a great deal if you ask me..I'm just saving my money for something a little more important at the moment

Also, there aren't any asian stores or such that have these...I've searched around. They've been out of production for a while...thus, why they are taking pre-orders to start another product run

Yikes, that's what happens when supply and demand takes over I guess.

My adapter is lacking; it's a combo PSX/N64 adapter and the PSX part died. The N64 part lives on but I don't think it supports mempacks or rumble (would be incredibly surprised if it did).

I don't see what's so special about those adaptoids, I mean what does it do? Someone just needs to copy it and resell it on the cheap

HAHA.. I wish! AFAIK, the adaptoid is the only converter that supports mem-packs, and many people that I've talked to online tell me they've owned if for 5-7 years, and the thing has never failed. Even Smiff of the PJ64 team has had his for seven years and hasn't had a single problem. Basically, you're paying to have the best n64 converter you can buy, but even $36 is a little much for me. If the price was $20, I'd be there Apparently many people think otherwise, as they already have 35% of the pre-orders needed.

I guess people are really desperate for those features! I mean, I don't see any other reason to use a N64 controller for something that's not N64. I had no idea that the N64 emu scene was so dedicated. The reason I got mine was because it had PSX as well, I play(ed) that mostly and never really did N64 much.
