Extracting music from n64 roms.

So is there a way to do it? I went to zophars domain but its only a plugin for winamp and i can't play music files unless I extract them.

Ok I found this ripper called bk ripper, but I tried ripping from Gauntlet Legends and nothing happens (i had to click the rom and open with cause when i click the ripper it closes instantly) and when I try to rip from Castlevania 64 it only rips noises and not music.

I'm taking an educated guess here and saying that like with SNES games, you'll only be able to rip audio from the ROM if the audio actually exists on the ROM. As in: cartridge based games usually have Midis instead of actual audio files.

I don't even think cartridge based games have midis in the exact midi format, but more like an console specific 'midi style' format. Just check vgmusic.com and see how many varieties exist on single songs, while they all aim to sound as authentic as possible.
