Has N64 emulation basically died?
Besides UltraHLE Alpha has N64 emulation died. It has been a while since I've seen plugin updates or any emulator updates because I know N64 emulation is far from perfect. Any comments are welcome.

I don't think N64 emulation as a whole has died, but I think the scant lack of emulators being updated (bar UltraHLE) shows that perfect emulation will probably never be achieved
However with the quiet death of the N64 illegal ROM sites will thrive obce again and all the dirty little pirates will be happy, but us true legal emulation fans will not. So yes and no to whether N64 emulation is dying.P.S. Hi to everyone seeing as this is my first post. You don't seem to be a noob bashing forum like many others which is good

Well, many N64 well-known emu authors have quit the scenes for personal reasons, such as Lemmy and Jabo, thats why the progress have been slower, otherwise, i dont think its dying
PS: megat0n, welcome to ngemu.com. Its a friendly forum as you said and i hope you enjoy your time here.......

Authors come and go, but most people who leave are people working on n64 emulators, you dont see what your seeing in the nintendo 64 emulation world, as you see in the playstation for isntance, barely anyone leaves in that, but you know Project 64 still looks alive and kicking, just give it some time and nintendo 64 will be perfectly emulated, and you wont have to worry about updates, there are still some who even with personel reasons still work on emulators...

N64 emulation has died IMO. everyone cares too much for psx emulation, so, i think, N64 emu authors lost motivation for development.
personally, i love N64 and i will always support N64 emulation. i hope to become good enough of an emu programmer to make my own someday.

i believe N64 emulation has died, it will slowly advance though.
I believe Jabo is still working on his plugins however, i may be wrong.

doggieiscool and cooliscool, please don't bring here to Emuforums the discussion you have in Emutalk. The last thing we need here is the flaming and spam that happened in Emutalk's UltraHLE Alpha forum.

yeh.. but some won't learn.. anyways back to topic... n64 is still alive.. like ultrahle alpha.. had a few problems but now its starting to get better.. hopefullly i can bring some great improvements to it and make it a good emulator.. theres been many emulators and many have been quite good.. just lacks the interest.. due to westerners(eg me as well) fell for the psOne and ps2
