What is currently the best N64 emulator?

I heard some stuff about project 64, but it is now disconinued? Which one is the best right now? And which one is the up and coming emulator (one that has potential and is still being developed)?

Thanks.

Well, without going into any malarky about there not being a 'best' n64 emulator etc etc,

Project64 = The best currently released emulator
Nemu64 = The best emulator of the future (if what I hear is correct) It may be near 100% if the team reach their ultimate goal

pj64 is most compatible with games, but it depends on what system you have. for me pj64 is the best, i can't even get nemu to run games that well.

the 0.80 pre-release 1964 already shows great signs because of its speed... We will see about Nemu. PJ64 is sort of "all - round". if one's machine is with in 1~2 years old it shouldn't have any problem running the emu.

I would say you never know when you say whos gonna be the next best emulator. I noticed the emulation scene can take you by surprise sometimes. Some new emulator in a matter of a few months could come out and blow everything off the map that we seen so far when it comes to N64 emulators, or for any emulator.

Oooh I love 1964. It's the fastest as far as I'm concerned.

Yeah, 1964 all the way. With jabo's plugin 1.5, it's just awesome, and it's the only N64 that plays the sound accurately for me.
