required use of savestates to bypass problems
I still haven't gotten OoT to work but I have some different questions about it. I remember hearing there were points or was a point you could only get passed by savestate. Do the newer emulators still have this problem? Was this the fault of emulation or the rom dump? Did any other games have this problem?

I have played through OoT without problem... but that was back in the days of Ultrahle... I do not know if you would have to use a savestate to get past a part with PJ64 or not...

uHLE only does state saves so you HAVE to use them, with PJ64 you can choose, I recommend you don't (it is better to use the native saves, both for gameplay and stability). It is certainly not necessary to do any state save tricks with PJ64 for this game or any game with a very few exceptions.
