Boktai PSP

Hey everybody,
I know this is my first post here, but I come with over 400 posts from Gamewinners.com forums. Here's what I need help with. I'm trying to play Boktai- The Sun is in your Hand (U) on my PSP. But whenever I load it up, it plays for a little while and then it says Solar Sensor is broken. Could someone help me please? I'm using the PSP emulator gpSP v0.9 if that helps.

According to what I read online...that game uses a solar sensor that is built onto the cartridge... Considering there is no Solar Sensor built onto the PSP itself...it would be pretty hard to emulate this...and I doubt that gpSP emulates it at all. Conclusion...the game isn't going to work on that emulator...period ...nothing you can really do about it now, sorry.

OK then,
please explain to me why people are successfully playing that ROM on their computer? I am confidant that their computer has no solar sensor. They are playing a hacked version. And the hacked version I have loads up fine, but when the game starts, it says the sensor is broken, so I know the PSP can handle it. Anyone else willing to help me out?

Look, I don't know much about the game myself, but that it had a solar senor attached to the game. Common sense would tell me that gameplay wouldn't be the same without it, so that's why I answered that way...thanks for informing me otherwise. Also, If you are able to play it on the computer, just play it on the computer. It probably doesn't work properly on gpSP because gpSP's compatibility isn't the greatest, with even some of the more common games not running (though the ones that do work run a great speed). I wasn't trying to be a jerk...I was trying to help. The emulators that run that game may also support the game as well...and gpSP may or may not... So, my guess is that if you DO have a hacked version of the rom that works on other emulators, and it doesn't work on gsSP 0.9 right now...you're probably going to have to wait until a new version comes out (it makes sense to me anyways..). The only person that could probably help you out is Exophase himself...

So, I just join the patch and the ROM together and they should work? Is that what I need to do Hiei? Oh, and GaveUpTomorrow, no hard feelings, I just read what you posted and was like, how do people do it on their computer then? Don't worry about it.

the patch is a self executable. just select the file and press PATCH.

note: you need a clean dump.

Are you talking about for the gpSP for the PSP or for VBA for the PC? If someone could help me out with the gpSP version that would be nice. Also, could you email me a link to a clean dump of Boktai?

You can email me a link at imweezle@gmail.com

Well, I found my own solution. For some reason gpSP version .7 supports Boktai and the Patches. Pretty sweet. I' m going to try V. 8 and see if that provides better results, thanks for the help guys.

What is this Boktai PSP?

Is it a PSP emulator for PC (Windows)?

Did you even bother to read the thread? You should read before posting as it's quite clear: This is about a GBA emulator for the PSP, and the specific compatibility of a game that used a solar sensor.

Nope! it looks like it's gonna work but it doesn't, the patch just makes it last longer.

the patch isn't for your version of the game.
