GBA Rom intros: can a intro afect the rom quality?

Just curious, is a tagged rom more likely to be of lesser quality then a clean dump? I know that a ton of tagged mode7 (m7, or however they call it) roms are out there, besides the small annoyance factor of the tag is their any real negative affect of it?

they SHOULD be clean dumps except the intro smacked on them. there's an app to remove those intros, it's called FATV7 (at least the executable is called this). google it.

intros are just padded onto the end of the rom usually, so they shouldnt replace any actual info.

err, not really, intros are put on the beginning of the ROM most of the time (that's why it screws up all the addresses; pain in the arse when romhacking, if you're working with someone who has a different dump than yours ^^)

I think VBA has a integrated intro remover also.
