Exclamation Emulating GBA on Gamecube

Well, in the shock department, Nintendo announced today an attachment for the Gamecube that allows it to play GB, GBC, and GBA games.

Cool! Lots of cool GBA games to play, including the revised Final Fantasy Tactics that is upcoming, and they're a lot cheaper too.

Gamespot also discusses it briefly in today's news:

well afaik n64 could also run some gbc games when you put the cartridge in the controller or was it just for some data transferring between tow same games but on different platforms (gbc <-> n64)??

Yeah, Pokemon Stadium kicked butt.

In it, you could play the Pokemon cart on the big screen, with a few extra features, such as the ability to control the framerate if memory serves.

You could also upload your own Pokemon into the N64 cart, and use them in battle. Basically, it was a way of seeing your Pokemon in 3D. It ruled.

When I saw this news, I thought you guys would be happy about it. (The honest people anyway). I just kind of forgot to post the story...

Good 'ol super gameboy. we had some good times. i doubt ill buy the player unless it grants some significant graphical enhancements.

Heh. Penny Arcade has something to say about it. Man, I must be the only person in the world without a light for my GBA of some sort... I just don't need one.
