Follow on of "Doing GC DVDs Iso's"

I know that it is classed as illegal for the guy that posted that thread to have the iso if he doesn't currently have the disc.

Aside from that I think this is an important topic to follow because it would save a people a lot of time if it was understood. Well thats my 2 cents.

I believe he was talking bull****. Thought if he weren't, it would save the day. I wouldnt need to buy expensive stuff for my gamecube to rip discs to iso's...

We reviewed the topic Vanit. We understand the view of our fellow admins...How can you have a game and then not have it? Sure, folks want to backup some software bla blah blah. Point is that if you do own the game, then simply try to take care of it. The topic of backups walks to close to the topic of piracy. Even if someone did bring it up for legitamite purposes, the information could be used for not to legit purposes...Do you understand? How simple would it be to borrow a game, or rent it from someplace and make an illegal backup? So if this guy had the game supposedly, and then didn't have it, would that not lead you to believe his intentions were illegal? He tried to make it seem as if the game was damaged, but if that is the case, then the image would be also...so regardless it is pointless.

Also..without venturing in too much of the subject..He stated that he made an image of his game using DVD Copy, and he had a image in NRG format
Quote:
BUT I tried to make a DVD iso copy with Pikmin game ( Gamecube game, yes yes ) and ... i got it ... => look ( link of the image )

But it's the only one game i tried and i don't remember how i did it ( with nero 4 sure, DVD copy i bet using the image recorder)

Problem is => i don't have this game anymore and when i try to make Iso with this .nrg the iso program crashes Rock'n Roll
so:

1. He is full of crap because the GC disk format cannot be recognized by PC DVD writable drives. It does not use the standard ISO9660 format..so there is no way he managed to make a DVD Copy

2. He mentioned having an NRG image using Nero..again a PC will not recognize the disk, and if he did have an NRG image then he would have used Nero to make it, and could have used the same program to write..but he obviously doesn't know how..so how could he write it?
Obviously he downloaded it from somewhere.

A special cable is needed to read the game disks onto a PC..we will not go into the subject because such topics are obviously not allowed.
