Dumping GC Discs
I already read through similar posts, but I have not yet gotten a definite answer. But how do I take an actual GC disc and dump the info onto my PC harddrive?
Initially, I was thinking it would be as simple as inserting the GC disc into my PC's Toshiba DVD-RW Drive, then using a program like Nero or Alcohol 120% to dump an iso. But I have tried this and it does not seem to work. From what I've read around, in order to dump GC disc data onto my PC requires an actual GameCube console, the braodband adapter, and some GC game called Phantasy Star or something because it's like the only GC game made thus far that connects to the internet to play online and such. I thought I only needed to do that PSO junk if I wanted to play GC games for which I have already downloaded, but apparently I need to do all that to create my own GC image files too? Someone please confirm that I'm correct on all this. |
