the new versions of the dreamcasts won't be able to play......
The new coming dreamcast versions won't be able to play any of the snes emu's, or any other emu's as well.
I don't know who'll buy a new dreamcast, where the PS2 drop to $199, gamecubes comin' out in November, and you don't know how the X-BOX will surprise us.

ok, man, this news is so old my grandma coulda told you that. besides, i thought sega stopped production on dreamcasts a while ago, so there really cant be a "new version coming out." the dreamcasts that cant play cdrs are known as the limited edition sakura versions and are only available in japan. if you are very maladjusted and have a thing for pink dreamcasts, go right ahead and try to import one. i have heard rumors of future consoles or something with dreamcast compatability but those are only rumors.

uh, Bubsy i think he was a tad sarcastic there.
 ...and yes, i still plan to buy a dreamcast....looks like DC emulation is nothing more than just a dream anyway.
