MP3 player on DC

Since there are a lot of emu's programmed to run older console games on DC, there might be an option to create an MP3 player for it. In Dreamsnes there's an option to play MP3's of your own in the menu. So it should be possible to create something like Winamp for the DC, so that you can play MP3's on DC.
Maybe it's a good idea, because not everyone has got an MP3 player or home cinema set.
Of course there has to be someone who programs it.........

No offense but, if you have a computer to make the mp3 cd, why dont you just listen to mp3's on the computer? Sorry, but, the logic just struck me.

there allready is several mp3 players for the dc check out http://homebrew.dcemulation.com/ under Software Brews

There was also a commercial MP3 player for Dreamcast available at one point.

go to http://www.consolevision.com read about sbi files here read the tutorials. the SBI program SELF BOOT INDUCER will allow you to burn a cd with your mp3 files and the necesary dreamcast mp3 program of you choice i highly recomend :

download the sbi file there if you need more help let me know via posting.

p.s.dc can also play divx

I reccomend To-11 -- I use it very frequently and it has a lot of major features. You control everything from your VMU, and have the ability to create playlists, shuffle, etc.

JuniorCRB, thanx a million for the site, I downloaded DreamMP3 and it works great for me, since I don't own a VMU (with a lcd screen)!!!
