Re: I bought a DC

homebrews and emu's don't hurt dc to bad because they generally only load data once into ram and then acces data from there

Re: I bought a DC

Hey.... going back on topic, I got a DC (heavily modded so it doesn't heat so much ) from a freind.... which lended it to me for free... and might consider leaving it to me for a long time if I get to download MP3 players and stuff found in DCemulation.com... isn't that great?... the bad thing is that he forgot the A/V cable, and won't be able to get it back until wednesday

Re: I bought a DC

The Dpad wasn't that bad... the thing that always left my thumb hurting was the analog stick... but overall it was a nice controller...

Re: I bought a DC

yeah it was. i think the juicy shoulder buttons paved the way for Xbox. the controller was well suited for Rush2049 (which my friends and i spent many many hours on)

Re: I bought a DC

am I the only one who thought the DC controller's d-pad was pretty good?
....
the analog controller however, is just a little too small to be really analog; I have some cheap PC pads that suffer from the same issue (they work well for emus though); tip: if you want a pc pad with GOOD analog controllers (for PC racers and the like), get a thrustmaster dual power pad.

As for the pressure sensitive shoulder buttons on the dc pad....well, not really good and not really bad. they work.

Re: I bought a DC

The Dreamcast's pad was about as good as having nine inch nails shoved up my japeye.

To say the D-pad was uncomfortable is like saying that having your skin removed with a butter knife dipped in vinegar is a mild discomfort.

Saying the Analog stick was in the wrong place is like saying that GWB isn't that great at his job.

The DC pad was some kind of cruel joke inflicted by some cokeheads at Sega. That's the only explaination I can come up with anyway.

Re: I bought a DC

disagreed;
that the analog stick leaves something to be desired, yup...but the d-pad I can handle just fine; allthough the second controller I bought had a better one than the one that came with the console....so who knows...

As I've already stated long ago, making aside the analog stick I thought that the DC pad was quite good... (and as I've already stated long ago, that thought could have been affected by the fact that I'm fond on Sega )
