Icarus Screenshots compared to others

a few weeks ago, cyrus released sum screenshots of icarus running games using a new FIRES dx9 plugin. these screenshots were amazing! a few weeks later, cyrus sum newer screenshots of icarus running games and these looked a little bit crappy compared to the dx9.

y wouldnt cyrus keep the dx9 plugin going.

it looks much better than the other plugin. the only error was the mark in the girl's hair in shenmue.

otherwise perfect! JSGR looks perfect also!

if u guys played this emulator on a 3.06ghz O'Ced to 4.5 at a very low res (320x240) then the gamez would probably be playable. the only slowing them down mite be the bus speed (just 533mhz). yes i understand y u wouldnt play them at such a low-res, simply because that would not be 100% emulation of dc. 640x480 is.

Cyrus didnt release his emu yet, and as far as i am concerned, it still doesnt emulate games at a reasonable speed, even with fast PCs...

There is only one DC emu which doing a fine progress, Icarus. I never heard of a DC emu which reached the level Icraus acheived. Make sure you pay respects to Cyrus

i absolutely do pay my respects to cyrus. he is a great dev'er, and we're all lucky that he even talks to us and shares his progress. icarus is simply amazing, but i wonder y he changed the name from boob!cast to icarus.

but still, i wanna see a sonic adventure screen shot with the dx9 plugin, not the opengl.

Cyrus doesn't make the graphics plugins that's why. There are 2 people doing the renderers, and they are taking different routes about it. Also some games are more difficult to emulate than others.
