It is my estimation that it will eventually run well on a 2GHz or so machine, just like CyRUS wants. Remember, no largely functional dynarec here yet. Dynarec is very important to DC emulation.

Off, but not way off topic, besides BBA (which lately has been like finding a needle in a haystack), has anyone here had success with extracting gd-rom data via a DC Coders Cable?

Not personaly, but I've heard a lot of people have..... however, in order to rip a game using it can take a day or more.

Did you read what was written? There are IIRC 2 variants of the BBA, a 10 and a 10/100 base one. There is also the DC coders cable, which is what we are talking about, which transfers data accross the serial port.
