is your exclamation mark key sticky?
Bleemcast is dead. Ive heard of a similar project, but have not heard anything in a very long time so I doubt that anything is happening.

hi!

It runs 3 games to be exact.

Tekken 3
Gran Tourismo 2
Metal Gear Solid

It's too bad that they stopped working on it, because these 3 games works really great on the DC ... Tekken 3 on the DC, kicks every DC-Beat'm'Up's ass.

In any case Gran Turismo 2 owns Sega GT. Not that Sega GT is a super-bad game, but it tries to be like Gran Turismo, and horribly fails at that.

I agree with Samor. I too have the GT2 Bleempak and it really stomps out Sega GT. I mean, it has a great selection of cars, great control, and amazing soundtracks!

I only have Bleemcast for MGS, but that's quite good, and certainly much better than the PC port of the game.

Tekken 3 on the DC, kicks every DC-Beat'm'Up's ass.

Huh? Nothing comes close to Soul Calibur!

hmmmm.....my turn. ..what's wrong with the pc port of MGS?
I've finished it 1 1/2 times and it works good? Not to say that MGS bleemcast isnt good (never played it but if it's anything like the GT2 bleem (most likely) it's a very good port)...but...the pc version DOES have all the extra stuff (VR missions)....

And where is the problem ?
Don't you think one disc for each game will life longer than one disc for all games ?

I have them all, and I don't like the graphic in Gran Tourismo ... dunno why everybody love it ... i think there are much better DC-games (MSR, 24h of LeMans)

Soul Calibur sucks ... only good graphic and nice vocals, but that's all.

First of all, it doesn't run smoothly on my P3-550 with a ATI Radeon card, while the emulation of the orignial PSX version via VGS or ePSXe runs smoothly on the same computer.
Just take the first "camera pan" when Snake just came out of the water in the cave. It just isn't a smooth movement! If the emulation is smooth one should assume that a non-emulated version should be smooth as well.

Secondly, all "special effects" like the motion blur filter during cinematic sequences are no longer present. Some might prefer it that way, but I can name at least one scene that doesn't make sense due to that fact:
After the death of Donald Anderson when Snake just met Meryl for the first time you will see Psycho Mantis floating in the air. In the PC version you might think he is really there, because there is no effect at all, but in the original version it is clear that it is some kind of illusion, because the image is almost b/w with almost all colours gone and you have a very strong blur effect.

Last but not least, the PC version has no force feedback, which is rather sad for a game that makes such efficient use of the feature in the original version.

As for the VR missions, I prefer games with a story, so I haven't really tried those.

True, but it's just more expensive that way. If you care about the lifetime of the disc then you could make a backup, I assume, since it shouldn't be a GD-ROM but a normal CD-ROM.

Soul Calibur sucks ... only good graphic and nice vocals, but that's all.

But Virtua Fighter kicks Tekken's butt at any time

admitted, the framerate seems choppy in the cut-scenes, but it's not a performance thingy. It does so with my 800mhz p3 as well (both with radeon and gf2mx). Other than that it runs smooth though (the gameplay stuff)

hm..I don't mind it that much...a little though.

It was the gameplay which I preferred in MGS ,and I also thought there wasnt enough of that compared to the old metal gears; too much blah blah and not enough gameplay. The VR missions help correcting that a a bit. Allthough the best experience would be a story with lots of gameplay, just like the old metal gears.
Your points about the pc port are valid, but I still don't consider it a bad port....

It's not a bad port.. But the bad thing is that it's a direct port.. Same graphics(except for perspectice correction), same game, no blurs.. Compared to what other 3d A+ PC games look and play, it's not up to par..

Bleemcast Beta, can run many commercial games, it isn't closed to 3 games. I have the beta file (5 programs) but someone have to crack it.
