Don't be fooled. Blur may not be fake but no offence to HairyBudda, he just doesn't have the skills or tools to pull it off. The homebrew libraries alone don't use sufficiently sophisticated techniques to achieve the required speed for various parts of the emulation.
A lot of the code needs to be written in sh4 assembly... and it took Rand alone 2 years+, even after he already had a psx emu for pc coded.
I believe that HairyBudda, may get some demos running, and as long as ppl don't have too high expectations then that is great, but just do not expect to be able to play any commercial games, at any speed.

It is never a good sign for someone to announce a project b4 they have anything to show for it!

Yea, man i understand where you're coming from. I never once mentioned 100% speed, accuricy or anything. I have had homebrew running already, and have shown some the source. Im currently about to release a beta.

As long as you always state that Hairybudda, I have no problems, but when you see some dc news sites implying it is going to be a psx emu to rival bleemcast then that is gonna cause a lot of problems for YOU down the line.
Since you do actually have some code I expect it is not fake and is a fully justified project. I personally think a psx demo emulator for the dc sounds better than a commercial game psx emulator
At least you don't get piracy involved.

A rival to bleemcast???? Who said that :eek: It scares me sometimes what hype makes people expect outta you..... the trying to live up to the hype that everyones made about your project... Some people think im trying to release a program that will turn their dreamcasts into inferior sony hardware, when in realiry, its gonna hog up the dc's resources and emulate the hardware horribly.... At least until i start getting better at assembly.


PS, no, im currently not aiming at enhancing yet. I want accuricy first.
