some dreamcast questions...

I'm contemplating on buying a dreamcast... (y'know it's still expensive in where I live).

1. With the xbox and gamecube in the market already, and the release of some good games in the PS2, is it still worth buying a dreamcast today?

2. Although epsxe made my PS1 games look better, will there come a time when a VGS-like emulator (i.e more compatibility, less graphical improvement) be available in the Dreamcast?

3. Since there is a linux-emulator for the Dreamcast.. not sure though about this (http://www.dcemulation.com/soft-linux.htm), and FPSE runs on Linux, will we be able to see FPSE running on Dreamcast?

To answer your questions:
1. If it's still expensive where you live, then don't bother buying it. No more new games are out for that system, afaik. I bought it just because it's only CAD $70
2. There's one emulator in development, called Blur... dunno how it is, no releases yet.
3. Correction, it's not a linux emulator... it's the linux kernel compiled to run on the Dreamcast.
