console pci card?
would it be possible to take out the motherboard of say a playstation 1 and turn it into a pci card that can plug into my motherboard and run some drivers for it to work? this would mean we could play games with 100% compatibility. is this possible or am i just dreaming? surely with enough know how it can be done.

i dont know what you are laughing at. if the snes was made with a motherboard with chips, memory an processer then surely it must be possible to create a pci card that has all of the stuff that a snes requires then create software and drivers for it to run. or heres a better idea what about a dual boot of xp. make a different partition of the hard drive and install the snes os on that partition. when your pc boots up you will have a choice of xp and snes or whatever consol it is. the cartridges could work off a memory stick in the usb port. |

lol im not saying im an expert m8 im only saying that if its possible to extract the game form a game cartridge then it must be possible to extract the os of a console too. i deffintly dont know how to do this , but there must be someone out there that knows how to do this. running an emulator is obviously the easiest way to play retro consol games but not all of them run smoothly. so im thinking of this idea so that hopefully someone with enough knowhow can maybe try it out. |

What you're saying is nonsense, basically because you assume that no direct hardware access is done on consoles, and that is wrong. Not to mention the whole "plug the snes/ps1/etc hardware on PC" is hilarous. Basically, you need to read a bit about how consoles/hardware work, and you'll see how WRONG are your blind assumptions.
