Wrong NeoGeo Romsizes!?!??

why is it that all those Emulator sites have all the cool roms and then there is no way to run them because the are just not listed in your emulator when you try to load them (stuff like rage of dragons and crouching tiger hidden dragon etc.)

you'll get lucky with some of them when you try all of the emulators on the scene. like using Nebulaspecial040404 .but that doesn't run all of the new roms.
it's really damn frustrating.

is there any way to rename/resize the romsets so that it can be picked up by kawaks and mame - if so what is the best way to do it?

I don't have any problems with that. New versions of Kawaks and Nebula use the names of MAME 0.79. I recommend you to use RomCenter to solve your problems.

any winkawaks can run the new roms , u just need new loaders . loaders are dat files with the full roms list and an exe file to run the emu .
u can find these loaders (accompanied with the full emu) at the same place u get ur roms .

side note : is this the right place to make such thread ?!

I tried using a loader that came with a kawaks that i downloaded. but still the same problem.

i wonder ,does it matter if the files within the zip file are named differently (for instance kof2k1-c01,kof2k1-c02 instead of kof2001-c01,kof2001-c02 etc)?? do i have to rename the zip file to a specific match for the loader? (eg. kof 2001.zip to kof2k1.zip for it to work?)

is there a website where one can download new loaders that can accomodate these new romtitles? the site where i downloaded my kawaks just had the standard kawaks up for download (no loaders)

i found that nebulaspecial040404 runs most of these new roms ,but with inferior graphics.

To use these newer roms, you need hacked versions of either NeoRageX, Mame (NeoEmulandia is one Zophar tracks but doesn't carry, since it violates the MAME liscence agreement), Nebula, or Kawaks (In the form of loaders). I'd recomend against requesting sites in this forum, since these files are illegal. With some crafty googleing, though, I think you'd be able to find what you're looking for.

Ok. i found what i was looking for

, well sort-of anyways. i got the loader and i have the dat files to update the asr file. the only problem is this: how do i determine the crc values of the files within the zipped rom so i can change them if they don't match the ones in the dat file......any help out there?
