mp3 files

ive downloaded sonic cd iso image and got it working on gens, but thiers no music just sound effects and i have to get the mp3 files formatted so gens will read it . ive download the sound files but thier just winap media files, when i click on them theyll play for a few minutes then cut off. how do i formatt the winap media files so gens will read them as the sonic cd music soundtrack??
