ZSNES cheat code making?

How do you make or find cheat codes for zsnes, that's an option on it I saw but I don't know how to work it.

I beleive they are GameGenie or similor kind of codes. Look up the cheats at www.gamefaqs.com and use the cheat feature in ZSNES to use them
