There was a site that u could meet people at , kinda like a lobby to set up matches for GBC and other systems and meet each other to play would that be usefull? If this message is in wrong place sry.

It definetly doesn't belong in open discussion. It's been stated many times that link play is just not possible right now.

Yea net play is possible with GBC not GBA.

Why not GBA? Isn't netplay simply sending the players button presses to the other player and then having the program executing them in the same timing?

That would work if both players were on the same console (ie SNES) but they're not. The link up cable has an extremely low latency, far lower than you'll ever get over the net. The only way it'd be possible (as far as I can think) is to emulate the cable/chipset/protocol/whatever, and have two instances of the emulator running on each machine, with one instance of the emu accepting it's own own keypresses, and the other taking keypresses off the other computer via the net...

Sorry if this has been discussed to death before.

Ohhh... I forgot about the link cable. Hmmm, how could that work then. I haven't actually played someone on a GBA so I don't really know what happens in the real instance.

Lol, it does work on gbc and older systems. so would the possible site be usefull?

A good thing to do would be to use mIRC.

Create a channel and tell everyone to join to play a game.
