Help with MAME controls

I was wondering if someone could help me with my MAME configuration. I'm running MAME 0.80 using a frontend called Emu Loader. I changed one of the hotrod configurations so that me and a friend could play 2 player on the same keyboard (For Puzzle Bobble 4) but I can't switch it back to default.

Does anyone know how I can added controller configurations to MAME and if possible how I can get Emuloader to recognize what games I have?

Note: Yes, I'm a lucky bleepy, my parents run a holiday business in spain and have a couple of arcade machines but as I'm in England, I have to put up with MAME versions.

PS. Thank you for moving it, I didn't know arcade machines counted as consoles here.
