problem running games on ps2

hello,

i recently bought a ps2 from america and brought here in asia.being a pc lover,i have no knowledge about consoles.i bought ffx and tried to run it.but it did not run the game.this message appears "please insert playstation or playstation 2 format disks".i also tried running my ps games on it but same problem occurs.i think it might be that my game dvds are pirated.but at my place we can never get original game disks.so only choice we get is to buy pirated games.is there any way to get these games to work?i heard about mod chip thing.but could not find it in the whole city.

No. Not without a chip. You need original American games (I really don't know why that last sentance was so hard for me to type....).

Re: problem running games on ps2

Fraid we can't link to such sites here owing to Mod-chip's dubious legality.

There are original American games, thank you very much. The US is just known more for making PC games than console games.
