Gens: VDP1??

some days ago i checked the gens site and read something about VDP emulation in the tech-specs and it was missing in the readme as a still unsupported feature. well, i tried playing virtua racing and it crashed with a messed-up scree. guess that should be the sega-logo or something...
now i wonder if i have a bad rom here or emulation of the VDP1 still isn't really supported... 8-|

I seem to remember reading somewhere that the game isn't supported (oddly, that game is missing form my collection, so I can't confirm). I do know however, that the 32X version works fine.

The Genesis version of Virtua Racing doesn't work because the SVP chip isn't emulated yet. Try playing the 32X version instead.

i know, i know... was just curious since previous versions gens didn't even come up with that messed up screen.
