znes 1.36, that annoying temp folder everytime you play a rom

zziptmp_.__z

Look familiar? it should if you use ZNES versions somewhere 0.73 - 1.36. This folder appears in the directory of every rom is that is played by ZNES 1.36. Any way to get to NOT make this directory everytime I play a rom? It's kinda annoying to have to delete it. Of course the emu works so well that it acutally makes this more a nuissance.

Unzip your roms. Problem solved.

I'm curious as to why the folder is a problem in the first place.

OOOOK...
HERE is what you have to do :
Open the zsnes.cfg (or zsnesw.cfg) and specify the SaveDirectory wherever you like. If it is undefined and thats true in your situation, the emulator saves in the ROMs folder.

it's not. More specifically, it's an annoyance. I don't dump all my roms in some 'snes' folder like some people i i know. I actually make sub directories within it to organize the games. That way, If i wnat to delete specific roms/saves/states, i can just go into the folder rather than having to sort through (180 roms) x (average 7 states per rom + 1 save file) to find what i need.
