gamepad trouble with GENS

I've recently downloaded gens, great emulator and I've no problems other than I cannot use my pad. It's an MS Sidewinder and it works great on MAME but not on this. Anyone any ideas?

I got the same problem. I dont thinbk its DInput compatable. Not sure though.

well, you did try to configure it? (I think the pad is not configured by default). I've never had any trouble with gens....

Try deleting the gens.cfg file then try reconfiguring the pads. It mentions something like that in the readme. I have configured my controller on it before without any probs (logitech wingman rumblepad) but I use the keyboard for gens anyway
