Sega emulator help

I have windows xp and i cant use any dos base emulators does anyone know one thats not dos based.I really want this emulator because i played shining force at my friends house today and i really want an emulator that will work

please help me

Gens is a Win32 Sega Genesis/ Megadrive emulator.

You could also try Kega, it may not have as many features as Gens (ie. no 2xSai, and no 32x support) but it's still an excellent emu for Genesis, GameGear (tho i never tried the GG emulation) and Sega CD

Maybe the best sega (megadrive+cd+32x) best emulator with some save states bugs & sprites in 32x games(in MK2 32x,enemies are hiding for a sec & then showing on other position)

Digging this up from the past, but speaking of which emulator to get to play sega genesis games.. The ROMS I downloaded end in a ".7z". when I load up the ROMS though, it only looks for BIN, SMD, 32X, AND ZIP files. Did I download the wrong type of ROMS? Because I downloaded 7 different games and all 5 different Emulators I got won't pick it up.

Use WinRAR or the 7-Zip application to extract them.
