I hated Micro machine games, never really knew what was gonna pop up next on the screen and at high speed it's hard to turn.

I prefer the PC version of micro machines 2, because of the kickass level editor. I've had quite a lot of fun with that

anyways, some good (IMO) SNES racers:

Astro Go! Go! (much like Fzero)
F1-Grand Prix 1 and 2 from Videosystem
F1 Roc and F1 Roc 2
GT Hyper Battle
GT Racing
Human Grand Prix 1 t/m 4
Newman Haas Indycar Racing
Nigel Mansell's World Championship
SD F1 Grand Prix
Super Chase HQ
Super Drift Out
Super F1 Circus 1,2,3, Gaiden and Limited
Test Drive 2
Uni Racers (not really a normal racer but cool anyways)

Rock 'n' Roll Racing is a very good one, is fun and if you play against some one else is more fun. It has great music and the concept is quite original IMO. Give it a try!!
