Question PS2 & VCDs?

Can the PS2 play VCDs? Also can it play SVCDs?
I would test myself, but I've sort of ran out of CDs

Actually there is a way to play VCDs. The website which tells how has a great messageboard where hackers have found a way to play VCDs on PS2. But Ican't post the link here aas there are also some prohibited talk going over there.

Summary of my post: It is possible to play VCDs on PS2.

having a separate dvd player is alot better than playing dvds in the ps2, ps2 and xbox lacks alot of features. like 360 degree angle turns in porn movies!

plus, it wouldn't hurt if they had a "power" on/off option w/ their remote

actually it probably does. it just has to in cd-rw format. dvd players like sony's actual dvd players, in order to play vcds... it has to in cd-rw media.
