What is Mode 7? I heard this term used a lot when describing the graphical feature for the Super Nintendo. What kind of benefits does a game get when using Mode 7?

Rotation, scaling.. It's a mode that the Snes has to Rotate and SCale backgrounds..

Mode 7 can basicaly be thought of as being able to deal with a 2d plane in 3d. It was a well used feature of the SNES for psudo-3d.
