zsnes problem- maybe simple

i recently decided that i wanted to run my zsnes in a wnidow. why won't it run in a window? i tried the rez changes that applyu towrds running it in a wndow, but the damn things still won. i searched the whole emulator for anything that looked like it would make it run in a window, but still, no luck.

have you tried using one of the video settings that says "WIN" on the side? visual aid below

when you play it in windowed mode, you have to set the windowed size to somthing SMALLER than your desktop resolution.

Chrono Trigger? I can play it fine with newer versions of Zsnes. 1.36 works fine, if I'm not mistaken.

there are a few SPC bugs in ZSNES 1.36, because the SPC engine was almost completely rewritten (mainly because of the game Shin Megami Tensei); for example in Chrono Trigger the wind effect is a sharp buzz.

ZSNES only works in a window on a desktop with 16bit colordepth; see the resolutions marked with "WIN", as said above.

IIRC, doesn't the color depth have to match your desktop color depth? Maybe that has changed with the advent of directx. Oh, and it might be possible that you are using a dos version of zsnes.

zsnes is a little better IMO. Personally I dont mind the windows gui. Zsnes win is more stylish because it still has the old dos gui, but windows gui's, while more dull, are usually easier usable because they all have this familiar and similar look. Allthough some emu authors put the options that should be under "file" under "edit" instead, etc. =P
