Neo geo Generally , KoF2001 especially

I know that neo geo has Neo Rage X at the top of his emulators (or does it ) , and i know that MAME runs most of neo geo games .. but Neo Rage X crashes at my XP on start .

1) Does anyone know how to fix/why is it crashing ?

2) is there another good neo geo emulator ?

3)Since MAME doesnt run King Of FIghters 2001 , which emu does ?

Where have you been? Neoragex is old.. Get either winkawaks or nebula.. Both are quite good at emulating Neo Geo games..

But if you must use Neoragex, then do a search of the boards for a link to the version of Neoragex that runs on winxp.. The link was posted before.. There is also a hacked version of winkawaks that runs KOF2k1.. Do a search of the net to find that..

MAME emulates KOF2K1 just fine, it's simply not enabled in the release binaries.

Mame emulates a whole slew of other games.. But they are all not enabled..

You can find a version of neorage X that works in windows XP at zophar's domain. The URL is http://www.zophar.net - just look in the windows emulators -> console -> neogeo section.

Ok , So i can or cant run KoF2k1 on MAME or not ?

does nebula/kawaks runs it ?

Actually, there are versions of mame that can play it.. But they aren't hacked.. Mame doesn't need to be hacked since it's open source.. Someone could just compile a mame binary with those games enabled.. Uomame, Smame, ect.. I think emeraldmame32k plays KOF2k1.. A lot of Korean clients use it on foriegn kaillera servers..
