ps2 boot cd for pc

i know this is a crazy idea, probably impossible but (since i don't know almost anything about programing and computers) my idea is:
is it possible to make a boot cd that uses a pc's hardware in order for it to start has a ps2???:confused:

Erm correct me if I'm wrong but isn't that simply a ps2 emulator? There are a few in development but it will take some time before they reach the level you suggest.

In any case why run it from a cd? :confused: That would nessesitate you having to find the emu disk, insert it run the program, eject the disk, insert a ps2 disk and run the game. It's much simplier just to insert a game and then run the emu from the HDD. Also most emulators are small enough to fit onto a floppy disk, so using a cd would be very wasteful.

BTW I fail to see a link between this and commerical ps1 emulators, so I'm moving it to misc console.

I think he means to actually convert a pc into a console through a bootdisc. I dont see how thats possible though, considering the hardware differences.

You might be surprised to hear that not all computer-like devices work with x86 processors from Intel or AMD, actually the Xbox is the only console with that architecture.

So basically the whole hardware is totally different and your idea simply won't work.

You can alter your PCs BIOS to boot the CD first rather than the A: Drive (I did this to install WinME into my XP machine)
