Sega model 2 v0.9 Virtual fighter 2

I have a virtua fighter 2.1 rom and am trying to run it on the model 2 emulator when I do however it says missing file mpr-17571.36 can anyone help?

It means you're missing that file. Get a better dump of the game.

Or look inside the zip itself for a similarly named file, and if it's there, extract the zip, rename it, and zip it back up.

I did what you said and unzipped it and the file its saying is missing is in the zip what gives?
