@ES is a high quality frontend, with an amazing amount of features.

There's GameEX (has a intro nag screen) and Maximus Arcade (it is very slick looking, but it is commercial frontend). Out of all that I tried, I favored Hyperspin the most, and I see great potential in it in the future.

I went searching on the internet and i think iv tried about every frontend now lol. As its not for an arcade machine just my desktop pc iv decided on emuControlCentre. Its not what i wanted but its the closest i could find. Hyperspin i found unusable as it would have required me renaming all my roms to fit in with their system. Also loads of them have limited resolutions available (whats that all about ?) But anyway its a lot better with an emulator frontend so thanks for your suggestions.
