mame probs
i recently downloaded mame v0.57, and i don't have the slightest idea how 2 work it. when i double click on the aplication 'mame', a DOS window comes up 4 about 1 second, then closes. some1 plz help!

Better off with a standalone frontend for MAME, such as Emu Loader. FYI, you're supposed to start MAME from a console, with mame gamename -optionsyoudesire.

If you use MAME32, it will be much easier... you'll have to play with the options for a bit, but once you find the perferct arrange of options for graphics/sound, you'll be ok.
