Scored big time on the retro stuff today :D

I know nobody will probably care, but I felt a need to boast a bit. I went to a local thrift store today and ended up buying:

Sega Genesis model 2 x1
Sonic 1 x1
Sonic & Knuckles x1
Primal Rage x1
Mario 64 x1

The only problem is, the Genesis didn't have any wires nor a controller. Does anyone think that one of those retro game stores like Game Swap would be willing to part with just the AV/power hookups, and not a console with them? I can also take a picture of the stuff if anyone cares.

just go to ebay theres TONS of them or an online store, most places wont part with cables without console for old systems, usually.

Tricked in what way? Anyway, if I DID get tricked, I'm out no more than $20 US, so big deal.

Pic of the stuff[the genesis is out of its shell because it's dusty as HELL and needs to be cleaned, so I happened to snap a shot while it's naked, so enjoy the "pr0n."

you might be able to find what you need at a flea market, thats where i found the extra controllers for my nes snes and the coaxial connections for my snex and my dreamcast.
