which console?

which console should i get i got $300 (actually a little more) and i want to get a new console so which 1?
*i dont think gamecube is a good choice since there are very little games out for it and only one of them is good*

That cuts down to a PS2 and X Box. IMO, I would choose a PS2. I just think that the PS2 is well established and well supported among the gaming community (developers, public, etc), so you can't go wrong with a PS2. I don't have one btw, but that's just my opinion if I was choosing.

definetly PS2, it may not be the most powerful or have the best graphics, but just look at ne website or magazine's top 10 games of 2001, and u'll generally find that about 8 out of those 10 are PS2 games

Well I don`t know, but I like the GC... but if I you ask wich order of preference, I would say:

1. PS2
2. GC
3. XBOX

Well, you could look for similar threads. We have had more than a few topics along this line. At the moment, the PS2 is clearly the best system to get, although the GNC looks like it might take off sooner or later. The Xbox is an expensive doorstop, unless you just really have to play DoA 3 or Halo or something now before ports are released.

I am the one guy who voted for GameCube. I have one, and am quite happy with it. In time, we will get Dragon Quest VIII, Breath of Fire V, Earthbound, Metroid, Zelda, Fire Emblem, and so many others....

If you live in the present though, get the PS2. If you think that the future matters, get a GameCube. If you hate money, get an Xbox.

The GC is the best system, but the PS2 has the best games (not to mention a semi-decent DVD player).

And then, the xbox is from M$. Need I say more?
