Because there's no real interest to really enhance arcade emulation. If there was, we'd have 2xsai engines and the like in MAME.

Something doesn't exist. Therefore, when it does exist, it was obviously incredibly hard to implement.

It seems Nebula will have transparencies for Neo geo games as well now.. LOoks good too..

ok, but you sounded like "everyone could have done that"...sure, sure, but nobody did it. That's the point

..maybe it's not hard to implement, but obviously nobody got the idea before in the first place.
And simple or not, it does indeed look cool
