Ok well ive kinda got passed that i can play the game but there is defo sum kind of sound bug, ive tried it on a few games now
start any game i have (super mario, pokemon and sum others) > turn on direct sound plugin > turn off > turn back on > crashs emulator ^^ maybe Lino can look into why this happens edit: Ok it seems if i pause the emulation then turn the directsound audio plugin back on, then resume emulation it somtimes works, and sometimes crashes Last edited by Greatdane; September 6th, 2007 at 13:23. Multisampling still doesn't turn on and gives out an error, although I'm not sure if any work was done on it by now (since it's not mentioned in the release notes, so I guess it simply wasn't fixed yet), that's why I'm just mentioning it here for reference.

rockman i am using that plugin already. btw the reason i turn the sound of because i get about 10fps with good quality sound 20fps with low quality sound and 90-100fps with no sound at all, a big difference in emulation speed considering its just audio i thought, i dont have this big of a difference when use no$gba with sound on/off

Greatdane,
you are right. It works. Lino, yes I did and it works now. I didn't know since your emulator is a little bit different. At first, you have to use "save to disk" then load its state and it works fine.

The new sound plugin is err well....performance wise an improvement over the last one...the append music option is still really off though. It still loops a little...and occasionaly sound goes out of range or something and it produces a really weird static like sound (like a dial-up modem trying to connect to the internet). Sometimes sound is also delayed a bit.
That's only the new Append Option though (which Lino has listed as medium quality) The other two run even worse on Labyrinth now, they murder performance completely and loop and get stuck and well hardly produce a sound. Then again Labyrinth itself runs at like 30. I might almost say that the the last one was better. The Append option is faster but everything else is slower and sounds worse. Also Async operations (OpenGL) won't stay on anymore, it turns off immediately. EDIT: Infact I do say the old plugin is much better than this one aside from a slight performance increase on the Append option everything else sounds and runs MUCH worse, the sound even ruins the games performance completely. At least that's what it's like on my PC. Tested on both Labyrinth and Asphalt Urban GT2 with frameskip set at 6 and CPU speed at 150% (I also tried none and normal which is ever worse) Also it gets worse the more I lower the buffer, not better. I completely lost visuals on GT2 with Synchronise at 44hz, with all sorts of weird sounds aswell.
