Why doesn't the emulator open?

To make it work you need to right click on ideas.exe then click on Properties. Now go to Compatibility and tick the box on "Disable visual themes"

The emulator runs slow. How can I make it faster?

1- Open iDeaS, go to Options ->Increase CPU Speed and set "Increase speed by 150%"

2- Open iDeaS go to Options -> Frames Skip and set "Skip 9 frames" or "Auto"

The touch screen doesn't work!

Open iDeaS then go to File -> Properties -> General and set "Touch" to "Normal"

The emulator won't save(could not read data)!

Open iDeaS, go to Options -> Save Types and set it to "Auto" or set the save type manually(depends on the game).

Warum startet der Emulator nicht?

1) Damit es funktioniert klickt mit der rechten Maustaste auf die "ideas.exe" Datei, klickt dann auf "Eigenschaften". Im Reitermenü (oben rechts) wählt auf "Kompatibilität" und macht ein Häkchen bei "Visuelle Designs deaktivieren".

Der Emulator ist zu langsam. Wie kann ich ihn beschleunigen?

1) Startet iDeaS, klickt unter "Options ->Increase CPU Speed" auf die Einstellung "Increase speed by 150%"

2) Startet iDeaS geht zu "Options -> Frames Skip" und wählt dort "Skip 9 frames" oder "Auto" aus.

Der Touch Screen lässt sich nicht bedienen!

Öffnet iDeaS, sucht unter "File -> Properties -> General" nach der Option "Touch" und stellt diese auf "Normal"

Der Emulator speichert Spielstände nicht (bzw. Kann die Daten nicht lesen)!

Unterstützt der Emulator "Schnellspeicherstände" (save states) ?

Ja, natürlich. Zum (automatischen) speichern bloß "F10" auf der Tastatur drücken und zum laden "Shift + F7" um den letzt gespeicherten Spielstand automatisch zu laden. Um eigenhändig Spielstände zu speichern/laden einfach unter "File -> Game States -> Load/save" den jeweiligen Stand wählen

Kann ich die Soundqualität verbessern?

Dazu müsst ihr unter "File -> Properties -> Direct Sound Plugin" bei "Synchronize" die Option "Synchronize (best quality)" wählen.

Kann ich die Tasten anders belegen bzw. ein Joypad benutzen?

Dazu einfach "Strg + K" drücken oder unter "Options -> Key Config" wählen. Derzeit ist es noch nicht möglich Jaypads/Gamepads zu benutzen, daher ist es ratsam das Tool "joytokey" zu benutzen. Es erlaubt euch ein Joypad als "Tastatur" zu benutzen. Probieren, lohnt sich!

Kann ich die Fenster drehen?

Klar. Unter "Options -> Rotation" einfach den Drehwinkel wählen.

Kann ich mit dem Emulator Cheat-Codes nutzen?

Ja, folgendermaßen:
1) Startet das Spiel in dem ihr einen Cheat-Code gebrauchen wollt. (Es muss gestartet und nicht im Pausemodus sein)

2) Geht unter "Options" nach "Cheats" und entfernt das Häckchen bei "Disable Cheats List".

3) Klickt auf "Options -> Cheats -> Cheats List" und ein neues Fenster öffnet sich.

4) In dem neuen Fenster klickt ihr auf "File -> New ActionReplay DS". Dort tragt zunächst eine Beschreibung des Cheats ein, dann drückt auf der Tastatur die "Tab"-Taste, In dem nächsten Feld könnt ihr den Cheat-Code eingeben. Noch mal "Tab" drücken um entweder einen neuen Cheat einzutragen oder aufzuhören.

5) Abschließend noch mal "File" anklicken, doch diesmal "Save" anwählen, um die Liste der Codes zu speichern. Sonst müsst ihr sie jedes mal aufs neue für das Spiel eintragen. ARDS (ActionReplay DS) Codes findet ihr auf dieser Seite.


Wie kann ich die Fenster vergrößern?

Klickt mit der rechten Maustaste auf "ideas.exe". Geht zu "Einstellungen", dort zum Reiter (oben rechts) "Kompatibilität" und macht ein Häkchen bei der Option "Bildschirmauflösung in 640x480 ausführen". Eure Bildschirmauflösung wird dadurch geändert solange iDeaS aktiv ist! Es ist somit keine "echte" Lösung. Hoffen wir darauf, dass eine neue Version eine entsprechende Option beinhalten wird.


Kann man ein Mikrofon benutzen und wie funktioniert WiFi?

Mikrofon zu benutzen ist möglich. Die Wifi-Unterstützung ist noch in Entwicklung und funktioniert noch nicht völlig

Pourquoi l'émulateur ne s'ouvre pas?
