Anyone try Spectrobes? Stuck save?
Well I just downloaded and opened ideas, been around the emus here quite a bit, mainly with ps2 emu..
But to my problem: I load spectrobes into ideas, hit play (Figured it wasn't doing anything and that was start, hope that IS right xD) And basicly its just sitting there telling me not to turn it off due to it saveing. I haven't done anything aside of turn it on lol, so.. is this ment to happen? Anyone else tryed/played this game and could give me some pointers on getting it to work? Or tell me its not going to so I don't waste my time xD Edit~~ Another thing is, when I start it up it says "Unable to read" I just chuckled at that and forgot about it xD Edit agian~~ After messing around with it (As your forced to do with ps2emus) I've got myself past the first movie and that first save (Dosent seem to showup, or does it insanely fast) then brings me to what looks like the main and it tells me my saved file is corrupt and I gota delete it, I've tryed skiping but it just asks you agian. I've given it a few mins and it has yet to delete anything, so same problems but I'm getting closer at least lol Edit tri-time~~ Ok, got past all that by switch around the saves untill the first save finaly saved and then it stoped showing the error for the currupt save file and let me start the game!! I was excited that I got to see the opening movie and the first little chat with the 2 mains, one thing I did notice tho, as the ship comes up it seems that on the bottem screen it has what looks like what you'd get at the start of a game to name your person, I didn't get to as it seemed to go away quite quickly. Not a big deal, I can deal with the main person being named anything really, however after the commander doing roll call he tells me he has some important information and then bugs out while trying to say the next msg box xD

Hmm it freezes a little earlier on no$gba.
So I guess this a bug that all emulators still need to get past then.

I tryed no$gba and it froze at the same spot, where abouts is it buggin for you?
I didn't try desmume cuz when I downloaded it and started on the readme file it went on about how I'd have to download other things and compile it, so I'd be intrested in someone letting me know how it works with desmume to see if its even worth my try to get the thing working. Really if it wasnt for this game, donno if I'd even be trying the ds emus, so its really unfortunate that it isn't working on the 2 I've tryed. Sigmax I couldnt help but notice that in your sig it says you are playing it on ds, just right off your handheld or do you have something that works?

You don't need to compile DeSmuME. You just need to download the right one.
That said it has the least 3D implementation and compatibility sofar and I don't remember it even booting propperly when I tried it.

Well crap.. thats 2x emus I gota wait on release's for now xP Kinda makes me wish I knew something about the subject so I could help speed things up lol.
Is there some games you'd suggest checking out to show off the ideas speed? Mainly thats what lured me over here, the hope of being able to play a game at full or close to it speeds. About desmume, I just checked out their forums here and found the release thread for their latest verson that only brings me to the download where I have to compile or the sourse forge. DeSmuME v0.7.1 released!

Why are you searching the forums? You are looking for the windows binary by the way.
Hmm I have not used iDeaS much...I need to test it more XD so I cant really help with games that run just about perfectly on it. By the way...you are waiting for 3...well just about 4...iDeaS, DeSmuME, no$gba and the least developed (only some 2D games work and no sound) NeonDS.

And it'll continue exactly the same for a LONG time, no real motivation atm to make any of the improvements shown in my blog public...

That IS what I did. Main site>downloads I know it dosent get any easyer, all links however do go to the source forge (Check for yourself) and the readme siad something about haveing to compile and haveing to download xtra programs. Really it was late and I didn't bother messing around with it, I laughed at the readme when I found out everything it siad I had to do and deleted it, as no$gba and ideas both ran out'a the rar.
Regardless, it isnt working on it now that I've redownloaded it so it dosent matter. Towards schumi and the 3, I wasn't talking about a ds emu for the 2nd, I was refering to the pcsx2 emu (ps2) As I've been watching it long before I even made an account here lol. Very hopeful on the next update for it (Whenever that might be, as its been 7+months for windows users)

Ahh ok I understand UnEvil.
Shash I hope you don't see that comment as another of those when will 3D emulation finally be added type things, because it really was not...I was just stating what I saw. Eventhough I would obviously love for you to implement all those improvements from your version to the actual releases, that was in no way a snide remark or a remark with a hidden agenda, it was just a currently-matter-of-fact remark. The last thing I would want to do is to further demotivate you.
