ideas sound plugin

I heard that the sound plugin 1.0.0.5 was better and not so buggy but everytime I change the plugin and start it up it crashes.......

I also have the same question.

Both in Endless Frontier and Advance Wars: Days of Ruin I get crappy sound with the current audio plugin

The current plugin has since gotten better than 1.0.0.5...but it's still quite bad.

IIRC, 1.0.0.5 plugin stopped working after some updates. Try iDeaS 1.0.1.8 or closer.

The 1.0.0.5 plugin causes a deadlock at startup on 1.0.2.4 and above, due to changes in iDeaS's interface. It only runs fine under 1.0.2.2.

By the way, I wonder why Lino removed the ADPCM-fix sound plugin in 1.0.3.1 Final? Mine seems to work as good as 1.0.3.1 Beta, maybe with some regressions (reported by DottorLeo), but it seems much better than the current official one.

None of these sound plugins are bundled with 1.0.3.1 either, it is only in the Audio Plugin package...

I'll share this folder for anyone who want to try most of the sound plugins and older versions from iDeaS: see here
