Hd-dvd player for xbox question

quick question, does the hd-dvd player add-on play games as well as movies? as in, could i put a game disc and get it to play? my main drive is broken and it will take more than $100 to send it in and fix it.

Buying peripherals seperately? Oh right, XBOX....

Drives are signed to that console, even if you were to buy a drive to place on your "console," it will not function.

Looks like you need to call that wonderful customer service to send it in.

Haha XD

Xbox 360 DVD drives can easily be replaced if you extract the 16-byte key in the original firmware, and patch the new drives firmware with the new key.

Replacement drives can be picked up for around $50-70.

If you flash it with original firmware, they can't detect anything.
