PC to LCD TV

I was wondering what is the best way to hook up my pc to my new lcd Tv
I used to connect via S-video on my old TV which was kinda lame but still better than composite AV .
So my choices are
1- d-sub cable
2- component video, PYpb or something

I have neither of them so any recommendation of what I should get??

BTW TV has every input possible including HDMI 1.3 and max res is 1360X768 no Full HD but still….

If your lcd has hdtv resolutions youll definitly want to use your hmdi, dvi or d-sub connection (dvi or hdmi in particular) so you get more potential out of your lcd tv.
Just get a hdmi to dvi adapter for $5 or a hdmi switch box for $20 so you can hook up multiple hdmi devices to your tv. Go to monoprice.com for some sweet deals and reliable products.

HDMI 1.3 cables are pretty much useless right now, for various reasons 1.2 is just fine. Stay away from overpriced Monster cable junk.

hdmi to dvi adapter $5 at monoprice.

I don't know what shipping prices would be like to syria though proabably $30-$60

::edit:: so you know dvi-d and hdmi are both EQUALLY the best video output currently available for video cards
hdmi is basically dvi with audio.

i have found a dvi to HDmi adapter for 7$ and a hdmi cable for 15$
but i read somewhere that not all cards recognize lcd tvs so if I buy those connectors can i make sure that they will work
at least on the XFX 8800 320 xxx edition that i''m getting next Thursday

but my guess is that hdmi is a digital signal and it should be recognized on any decent card even my 7600

oh no don't get a G80 8800 GTS... at the very least get the G92 card such as the 8800GT. It has much higher preformance/cost ratio.

where were you reading these articles. HDMI is supposed to be partially compatible with dvi.

Just so you know you'll need a card with hdcp support and an hmdi port if your ever planning on adding a blu-ray or hd-dvd player to your computer and watching hd movies, since dvi is incabable of transmitting the hdcp signal. You'll also need windows vista OS for hd movie support.

no you dont hd-dvd's and bluray's are both perfectly playable using a dvi>hdmi adaptor. and you dont need vista either. infact right now vista is more of a pain in the arse than xp is, thanks to mr. drm making sure none of us can get hd audio yet.
