Have you enabled your main display as PCI in the BIOS?

i tried both options in bios
i tried the onboard and the auto option in bios.......with the auto option on and the pci card in there is no picture but usual loading on its way to windows and the desktop....with onboard selected.....the computer starts with the picture but if the plug is removed from the integrated and put into the pci card....carefully trying this.....there still is no picture....the drivers are installed for the pci card and what you said about enbabling my main display as pci in bios....theres either the auto and onboard options or a section with 1mb or 8mb options to load the intergrated graphics....?

No, I'm pretty sure he means PCI, not AGP or PCI-E. That thing is an artifact, didn't even know you could find one nowadays. Is it brand new out of original package or refurbished? It could be damaged. And I don't think PCI GPUs required external power inputs, so that's scratched.

Switch the BIOS to auto... and plug the display into the PCI card instead of the onboard port BEFORE you boot.

Well, just to make sure, when you think that computer is behaving normally just no visual on the monitor, just plug out the monitor plug to the onboard, it won't get broken and after plugging it on the onboard and you get visual, then yep, the motherboard is still using the onboard video. Then just figure out where the BIOS settings for using a PCI video card is.

i dont have BIOS settings for using a pci video card at my BIOS screen after pressing f2 enough...i got to the options under primary video or video display options in bios i can choose auto or onboard or theres a mb section where i can choose 1mb or 8mb for the onboard intergrated graphics...with auto selected i tried alot of times and i had to have the new pci card out of the second of two pci slots in order for the picture to show up on the monitor.......with onboard selected i could have the new pci card in the slot but still had to have the monitor plugged to the onboard graphics and there would be picture with onboard selected also so i could see it............still confused it seems confusing at times i've never installed one myself but i had an idea of what to get please help?
