Question Any one use "TV" version of LCDs for comp??

I am using a 19" LCD monitor currently, Samsung-SyncMaster 932b. The quality isn't too bad, everything is crisp and clear. Now this LCD is a monitor designed for computers.

However the SIZE and PRICE of "TV" versions of LCDs seem kind of attractive and arousing. I haven't used a TV version of LCDs before so I don't know if TVs has evolved any further then just being lighter and using less power.

Have TV versions of LCDs reached the quality of computer monitors yet or will it ever? Hmm... right now it is a lot easier in getting a 27" TV LCD then a 27" computer LCD. The price difference between them is great but what about the quality?? Sometimes big screens make games feel more realistic, as if you are there. But if the difference in quality is also huge and dissapointing then lets scrap this idea.

Computer LCDs generally have higher resolutions than the LCD TVs, which generally run 1366x766 (or something like that) for 720p or 1920x1080 for 1080p, whereas a 20" or 22" computer LCD have 1680 x 1200 (again, roughly) and others can run much higher. I'm not aware of other differences in quality aside from resolutions.

LCD computer screens tend to cost alot less than there TV counterparts, while having higher resolutions.
